Zionism is an essentially Jewish phenomenon, and
cannot be separated from Judaism (in the
religious-historical sense of the term), and
therefore its resemblance to either national
liberation or colonialist movements is morphological
rather than taxonomic, and leaves various aspects of
Zionism unexplained.
